ART has a family of trained professionals that, in most instances, have experience with education within a collegiate level, if not classically trained themselves.  This group of seasoned scholars brings decades of combined experience to the ART program, across a range of topic areas all aimed to enhance students’ experience and skill sets.
Judith Corona
As a graduate of the department of Fine Arts from UCI and CSU Long Beach, she has been an adjunct associate professor at both UCLA and the Otis College of Art + Design.  Judith has a deeply engrained background in the design of color, texture and architectural interiors.  Her artwork has graced international exhibitions and she has been spotlighted in countless publications and television spotlights.  She has also received a fellowship at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
Milton Dorsey
Milt is a designer with over 20 years experience in motion picture and entertainment advertising. As a consultant working at Graphic Orb and Terry Hines & Associates he helped launch many well-known motion films such as Casino Royale, The Da Vinci Code, and Spiderman (I & II). Clients included Sony Pictures Entertainment, Revolution Studios, Castle Rock Entrainment, MGM/UA and Universal Studios Theme Parks.  No stranger to the class room, Milt has taught perspective and rendering for 14 years at UCLA Interior and Environmental Department, and in 1985 was awarded Senior Extension Instructor.
Larry Drasin
Larry has more than twenty-five years experience in architecture, interior design, construction and management.  His education in Industrial Design at California State University at Northridge has allowed him critical acclaim and awards from Industrial Designer’s Society of America, Conde Nast and Teacher of the Year from UCLA.  His background in environmental design coupled with his outstanding graphics ability has allowed him to provide countless students and hospitality industry clientele with a superior perspective of their surroundings.
Kevin Fleming
Kevin is degreed at the University of West Virginia in landscape architect as well as a pool contractor.  Kevin has established himself as one of the elite aquatic designers and builders in the Northeast. In 2002, Kevin joined forces with David Tisherman and together formed Liquid Design. This unique collaboration of two talented artists has systematically redefined the backyard experience for a sophisticated clientele desiring outstanding construction and elegant materials
Eric Gerds
Eric’s involvement with computers has led him to working in the aerospace and entertainment industries.  He is an expert in both hardware and software, as well as the Internet. He has worked for the United States Air Force, Boeing satellite systems, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and Frank Gehry Partners. Eric also lectures around the country on various computer and graphics topics and has also taught classes at Santa Monica College, Northridge University, Northrop Grumman Corporation, ASTD and the University of Wisconsin at Steven’s Point.
anonynousMichael Given Michael is President of Michael Given Environments, a land and waterscape design/build firm headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas.  He has been designing and installing extensive landscapes for over 12 years, including water features, fountains, and swimming pools.  Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Design from Kansas State University.
Shawn Hayes
Shawn, of Delta Performance Products, is a specialist in the assembly of custom color pigments, aggregates and blends.  He has been instrumental in designing and mixing colors for most of the major plaster system producers such as Pebble Technologies.
Eric Herman
Eric is Senior Editor for AQUA Magazine and former founding editor of Watershapes Magazine, a position he held for more than a dozen years. An editor/writer with more than 20 years overall experience in the industry, Eric's work covering aquatics began in 1989 working for Pool & Spa News as technical editor. His long tenure in the industry has resulted in an intimate level of knowledge that reaches into the heart of key issues including technology, science, aesthetic design and industry direction.
hillDouglas Hill Doug is a commercial and fine art photographer who specializes in capturing imagery of architectural environments.  His creations have graced the pages of Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Architectural Record, World Architecture, Coastal Living and the Los Angeles Times and numerous books.  His work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in permanent collections at the Getty, the Museum of Photographic Arts, the Huntington Library and the Library of Congress.  He also has been an instructor of photography at UCLA Extension since 1995.
Mark Holden
Mark is a licensed landscape architect and pool/landscape contractor as well as a product developer, and educator.  As a writer, Mark has been a columnist for Watershapes Magazine since its inception, a contributor for Aqua, Pool & Spa News and featured in The Robb Report.  His firm, Holdenwater, specializes in the design of water environments for a wide range of professionals internationally.  As a faculty instructor at Cal Poly University Pomona, Santa Chiara (Italy) and lecturer at UCLA, he has been able heighten the industry’s awareness of the design and construction of water.
anonynousColleen Holmes Colleen, owner of New Leaf Landscape, has been in the custom landscape construction and design business for more than 30 years. She has been featured in many invitation-only garden tours, competed and won HGTV’s “Landscaper’s Challenge”, earned Garden Design magazine’s National “Golden Trowel” award, as well as received the prestigious Windsor Square-Hancock Park Historical Society’s “Best Top to Toe Garden”. Her work has been seen in many magazines and books and the Los Angeles Times.
Brian Lally
For the last 10 years Brian has been teaching at Playhouse West, the highly-regarded premier acting school, whose alumni include: James Franco, Scott Caan, Heather Morris and Ashley Judd.  Brian’s career has taken him from the world of TV commercials to pinnacles such as Steven Spielberg’s Lost World: Jurassic Park, L.A. Confidential, Hesher (Natalie Portman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt), It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, James Franco’s The Ape to voicing American Dad.  His acting talents bring a rich resource to the art of presentation for professionals.
leeRichard Lee Richard is a landscape architect and principal of Lee and Associates, Inc., an Austin based firm ranked as one of the top ten landscape architectural firms in Central Texas.  Richard’s ability to easily explain his designs through effective graphic presentations ranging from small schematic sketches to photo-realistic perspectives allows him to stand out among his competition. Not only is he using 3-D software to prepare presentations, but now uses it as his primary, day to day design tool.
Shawn Still
Shawn still is an industry expert with pool plasters and surfaces.  His talents include business development, builder support, and running the daily operations of Olympic Pool Plastering.  He sits on the board of directors of the Georgia Chapter and the Southeast Region of the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP), the National Plasterers Council (NPC), the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and has held numerous volunteer leadership positions within those organizations. 
David Tisherman
David is principal of both David Tisherman’s Visuals in California and Liquid Design in New Jersey. Arguably the industry’s most accomplished designer and builder, he was once called, “The Frank Lloyd Wright of the Pool Industry.” For more than 30 years, David has been a guiding light for professionals throughout the U.S. and abroad.  He’s degreed in Industrial Design and History and continued his graduate education at the Pasadena Art Center College of Design, and Harvard’s University, Graduate School of Design.  David’s ability as a teacher, keen eye and sometimes sharp critique of the pool industry and its participants, has made him a leader in the realm of aquatic professional education and practices.
Keiji Uesugi
Keiji is licensed professional and faculty instructor in Landscape Architecture at Cal-Poly Pomona.  As a second generation landscape architect and expert in the field of East Asian architecture and environments, he has focused his pursuits into the field of East Asian Gardens.  During his tenure at the firms TUA, Inc. and EDAW, Inc., he has captured the spirit, creation and education of the Asian experience within water design and execution.
